That's what I got and that's what I need a holster for. It is from the late 70's, with 4 3/4" barrel, skinny profile as opposed to a bull barrel. I would be happy with either leather or kydex- right now its in a nylon flea market piece of trash that was designed for some other type of handgun. The only ones I could find were leather in the $60+ range from Ruger, and everything I ever ordered from them online had brutal shipping costs. Everything else was for models with longer barrels. Looking for suggestions/sources, and photos would be nice too, if you have any.

Contact Simply Rugged. They have a few models available. Great gear at reasonable prices. Quite popular here and on other forums

I bought my dad a 9 shot standard with heel release for Father’s Day when I was fresh out of college. Kind of a thank you to the old man for putting up with my ridiculousness while I was in school, and partly as a family tradition that my cousins started. When I got it I put it in one of these that I stumbled across pretty cheap. It’s an impressive holster and it still lives in that piece of leather. I have been told that I will inherit it that way some day, but I had better leave it alone until I do because the old man shoots it like a laser. Anyways, the holster looks good, Carrie’s good, holds the extra mag surprisingly well, and presents the pistol very quickly when a squirrel runs across the leaves. There are a whole bunch of imitations that look pretty usable. I would find one from a maker that you trust that has the correct barrel length. I see some in the $35 range, so price is not outrageous for what it is.
