I have a Taurus 357 mag tracker 4" and I really love this gun. Handles very good and it shoots awesome. It haven't give any problems at all either. I have a permit and i would like to carry this revolver more often. Does anybody know of a holster that will fit this revolver. It can IWB or OWB it don't matter right now really. Any help will be appreciated.

Besides if anybody has one of these, which loads have you guys use? I have use only a couple of different ones and would like to try some more. Thanks

Welcome to THR!

Fort Hood?

I don't have a real answer to your question. I have a 6" Tracker. I'm only familiar with open carry holsters for it.

Even with a 4", I'm not sure this is the gun I'd carry as a CCW. For that, I have the Taurus 605.

Yes, Fort Hood

I just love the gun is an awesome gun. But not to worry i will keep looking or buy another gun :D

I use a vertical shoulder rig from Uncle Mike's. Works well for hiking.
I have one of these for another gun, and am looking at getting one for my 6" Tracker. Actually, I won a bid for one from J & G Sales off ebay, but they had mislisted it, and it wasn't the size it was listed as, so we ended up canceling the transaction. I'm also looking at a Bianchi 4100 Ranger HuSH Rig, for carrying across the chest. But neither of these seem suited to what the OP was looking for.

I love mine too. It is now my preferred gun to keep in the night stand next to my bed. But at 6" it is impractical for concealed carry. If you buy another gun, keep the Tracker!

Thanks. Hey guys I kept looking in the internet and found that Galco makes one that fits the 4" Taurus Tracker.

Is called Fletch High Ride Belt Holster, which also fits Taurus 425 4", 66 4", S&W L FR 686 4", L FR 586 4", Colt King Cobra 4", Python 4", Trooper 4", Ruger GP 100 4" and a couple more. I will let you know how it feel for concealed carry. Let's see how concealed it can be :D

And this gun will be with me and in my nightstand also is an awesome gun.
Still, can anybody recommend some different 357 loads for it?

I purchased a Kramer IWB for my M44c 2 1/2" Tracker in 44 mag for CCW. Just gave then the measurments and waited 4 weeks. Little expensive, but well worth the wait as far as I am concerned.

I have a Galco for my Taurus 605. Good holster.

As for loads, are you talking about commercial loads, or hand loads?

If commercial loads, look at Speer Gold Dots in 125 grain for a good SD round.

Yes any loads that i can take to the range and go at it.
The range I go to they don't care, hollow points, full metal, you can shoot any ammo. I just don't know much about 357 loads and would like to try some more. To see how the tracker feels with other loads.

Well, maybe others can chime in and tell you about the variety of 357 loads and their uses. I've only bought one box of commercial 357 in my life. I started reloading shortly after that, and all my experience is with my own reloads. I reload for SD/HD, and for plinking. For SD/HD, I load 125 grain, Speer GDHP for primary SD/HD, and various brands of JHP in 125 grain for practice. For plinking, the nice thing about a 357 is that it opens up the world of 38 spl. So for that, I like to load a cheap 125 grain plated bullet in 38 spl.

From reading, not experience, I guess 158 grain SWC has been a popular load for target practice. I prefer to practice with the weight I'd be shooting "for real" which is why all my effort is focused on 125 grain loads. If I ever decide to use the Tracker to hunt with, I'll look to a heavier bullet, and see what I can come up with for a good hunting load, and a cheap practice round in the same weight.

Again, I hope others will help educate you (and me) into all the other varieties and uses of the 357.

High Five,

I can highly recommend the DeSantis Scabbard that I picked up for my 4" Redhawk.

As far as ammo goes, my carry round is Winchesters 145gr Silvertip JHP, If I hunt with a .357mag, the gun gets loaded with the Federal 180gr JHP or one of my 180gr. handloads.

I carry a .41 Magnum Tracker Titanium with the 4 inch barrel everyday. (Bear Control) I have been using the Galco and am very satisfied with it. In fact I tried to get one for my 24/7 Pro 40 but alas they had nothing for it.

I found what i was looking for. it feels real good and I'm carrying it, let's say about my 4:00. Is a galco, real good guys so if anybody wants to carry his/her 4" revolver is a very good option. Here's a picture.
