I guess the media really doesn't know anything about guns!

What’s not a joke is that an adult would leave a loaded rifle, model unimportant, where a 10 year old could pick it up and use it.
Is it really all that noteworthy that once again a journalist apparently can't distinguish an AK47 from an AR15?
The real point appears to be that a couple of folks are now in trouble because some kid got ahold of a gun and hurt someone. And that raises a whole lot of questions we don't have answers to -- like what actually happened, or what might be the legal and factual bases for holding the two women who were arrested responsible. And it's pretty likely that the kind of gun involved doesn't matter much.
