Home Defense and Competition - What to get?

I can see I need to practice a lot!!!

And I willl definitely look up c-rum.

I found some dummy rounds that are actual size and weight at Brownells. Has anyone used these? Not sure I trust myself with live ammo!

When trying a fast reload today, I flipped the gun over and began to hold it with my weak hand. OUCH. Barrel gets HOT, dummy - my mind is shouting at me. So I will have to try something else. I about die in 90+ degree weather with shorts and short sleeves. I would truly expire with long sleeves.

I have 200 rounds of Federal 3 dram, 1 1/8 oz 7.5 shot (gotta love Wally-World prices!) that I expect to shoot tomorrow. I also have a BUNCH of buck and some more slugs.

BTW - what is "GRIP of ammo"? I got the jest, just have not heard that term.

YES YES YES!
I don't load my own shotshells, and decided to purchase these from Brownells instead of making my own.

These have stood up to a year of serious loading/unloading, falling on the floor, my girlfriend's cats batting them around, sweat, you name it.

The first time I heard this term was during my freshman year in college, by a friend that was a cross between The Fresh Prince of Bel Aire and Steve Urkel. I've used it since then.
