Homemade shoot n see

View attachment 1079046 I found this online a few weeks ago and was very skeptical of it working. Cardboard sprayed with green hi viz survey spray paint, packaging tape over the green paint, spray paint the tape black and now you have a shoot n see.

I'll have to give that a try. Thanks for sharing.

I made some years ago, think I used oil based paint then cheap rattle can paint on top. The cheap paint when dry would chip more then higher priced paint and worked fine.

I tried this. Evidently my "cheap" paint wasn't cheap enough.

Neon yellow spray paint, followed by a layer of clear, then a final top coat of black. Chip-Gard (sp.) works pretty good for that, but any type will do. Let each coat dry completely before the next.

you can go to Micheal’s, get 2 sheet of different color paper and light spay glue them together. Then cut the size you need. It worked for me. Cheap & Clean

White poster board. $.44
Pen+Gear Light Weight White Poster Board, 22" x 28" - Walmart.com

900 3/4" targets. $12.72
900pcs/set Round Blank Black/Red Shooting Target Pasters 900 Adhesive Target Dots, High Visibility Color - Walmart.com

A bullet hole through the bright white poster board shows up even better than the shoot-n-see targets as a black circle. The thicker paper helps to see much better too.

Depending on the accuracy you expect, and the range you're shooting, you could put anywhere between 4 to 40 of the dots on one sheet of poster board for multiple targets. I carry light colored masking tape to tape over bullet holes and use the same dot multiple times. The thicker paper will last more than one range trip.

I tried to make some using that method once, but I couldn't get it to work
I was skeptical. I tried the construction paper under the tape and it didn't work. I found 3 coats of the Hi Viz paint on cardboard worked better. Not as much splash as a real shoot n see target but good enough for me.
