I have a Hornady 9mm carbide insert (New dimension custom grade) die set. I've resized about 3K with it and I was cleaning it out the other day and noticed the the insert was spinning around. I don't think it's done that before (although, havent checked before)

Just wondering if this is normal?

Unless things have changed, Hornady doesn't use carbide rings.

The Hornady Custom Grade New Dimension Nitride Full Length Sizer Die is a great die set for the avid reloader. The Full Length Sizer Die features Titanium Nitride sizing rings that eliminate case sticking, require no case lubrication, decrease case wear, and increase case life.
I do not have one anymore, so I cannot check. I would think it should be stationary. the one I had in 9MM was.

Mine is the Nitride coated one and it doesn't spin either. The way mine looks,if it could spin,it would fall out.
