Has anyone used this combo, and if so whadda ya think?

I've been thinking of getting a new powder measure for use with my single stage presses and figured that i might as well get one that I could use on the Dillons if I ever need to.

I've been doing some internet searching because I know I've seen both the Hornady and the Lee Auto Drum used on Dillon presses. Just haven't found anything yet with the Hornady. Got this video with the Lee Auto Drum on a Dillon 650.

Sorry, I know that doesn't help, but I'm not done looking yet.

The LnL powder drop/case actuator will demonstrate less bridging on the 22 and 25 and 26 and 27 caliber chambering than the Dillon kit, which is a significant issue with certain powders. Also, it’s easier to swap toolheads using the LnL because it is completely self-contained (no need for the safety rod).

I’m a fan of the combo.

I use the Hornady case activated powder die with either a Uniflow, a modified Redding 10-X or a Hornady L-N-L powder measures on my Dillon BL550. They all work great. One of the reasons I bought the BL550 instead of the RL550 was that the BL550 did not come with a powder measure. I really did not need another powder measure.

They also would work on the 650/750 presses since they also use 7/8"-14 dies.

Adapting the case activated powder die to a Dillon SDB would be more difficult, if not close to impossible since the SDB has smaller dies. I have not looked to see if the Dillon powder die and press could be adapted to drive the drum style powder measure.

The RCBS case activated powder die would work as well. It is essentially the same as the Hornady version, I just prefer some of the features that Hornady incorporated into their version.
