FYI...I see Hornady is now offering a 9.3x62 in a 286 grain. This now makes the 2nd American ammo manufacture to offer a factory 9.3x62 load in recent years. The 1st was Nosler. http://www.hornady.com/store/9.3X62-286-gr-SP-RP/
Cool. Not that I shoot factory ammo anymore, but I might need to try out their bullets. A lot cheaper than Nosler Partitions or Barnes TSX. At $65/20 I'll keep reloading. I can do it for $16/20 using Hornady bullets.
Edit - looks like (from Midway's site) Hornady will be producing brass for reloaders soon too. Price seems to be about $70/100 vs $120/100 for Lapua. Granted though I've gotten 12 loads out of some of my Lapua brass and it's still in good shape. Wonder if the Hornady will stand up that well.
Nice; thumbs up, bigtime! Good to see the cartridge catching on, since I have a CZ550 in this caliber, and no reloading equip yet. I would have prefered that CZ had gone with the .35 Whelen instead on their 550 offering, since they're essentially substitutes, but more choices are better than fewer. Seems to me that the CZ 550 offering is roughly 85% responsible for making this cartridge's popularity elevate recently.
That is EXCELLENT news! Even if still WAY over priced.
To back up DR. Tad Hussien about popularity, there was as recent thread asking which chamberings folks wanted in the new Brownchesters,er,Winchesters and within the first page 4-5 of us wanted 9.3x62.
