Hornady Polymer Tipped Bullets & Tubular Magazines

Hornady make numerous polymer tipped bullets. I knew the FTX bullets could be used in rifles with tubular magazines, but wondered about their other polymer tipped bullets. So, I sent Hornady an e-mail to ask and this is the response I got from Hornady:

The only bullets that are compatible with the tubular magazines are going to be the FTX and the lead round nose bullets or flat points. All of the other polymer tips are very hard and can not be loaded in the tubular magazine.

I have shot factory and currently reload ftx bullets for my marlin lever yet i had missed this. I also reload and shoot xtp .45 colt for same gun. Thanks for posting.
