Hornandy 6mm 110 gr atip

I'm looking at ordering a sample pack of 110 gr atip's for use in my m11 243 win. The rifle is a 1-9 twist. I checked hogden websight for load data, but the site didn't show data for a 110 gr bullet.

I have several questions. First will that bullet stabilize in a 1-9 twist barrel at velocities of 2900 - 3000 fps? Have anyone tried this bullet in a 1-9 barrel? What results did you have with said bullet?

Midway’s site recommends 1 in 7.7 or faster. I’ve got a 1 in 8 twist and have looked into it.

I used Speer 105 rn in my other 243 but that is a completely different bullet. It's just about the same length as a Sierra prohunter.

I would be VERY surprised to see it stabilize in a 1-9, closer bet would be the Berger 95, sierra 90, Hornady 103 if you're looking for longest that 1-9 will run. However, if this doesn't deter you, I'd like to hear your results!

put that on hold for now I may try it later. Just put in my first online order from midsouth shooters supply for 200 243 100 gr bullets 100 hornandy and 100 Sierra game Kings the soft point style on both. Plus 200 7mm 139 gr, 300 224 bullets and 3 1 lb cans of powder, h4350, superformance, and ramshot hunter. 16.00 hazmat came in under 300.00 for all.

Nice!!!! I like those sierra gks myself! And in 7mm, are the 139 an sst? Or spitzer non poly Hornady?

Both the sst and softpiont game Kings boat tail. The sst's shoot real good from my 7mm08.lots of down range energy. Shot one deer real close in the throat patch. Filleted the meat off of the back of the neck.

Get some sample packs from the place online, they have some good choices. The 110s won't work tho. Did you shoot that thing yet.

I haven't been out to shoot yet been busy, 50 hrs a week at work, then I've had grandchildren here to play with... Spent fathers Day doing wife's brakes. I have to get a few more boxes of ammo for reloadable brass and test firing. Don't think 20 yds is enough, that is just a tease. I'll get out this coming weekend for sure, we're going out to east Hamilton if the corn field will cooperate I'll shoot 500 yds with my 3 bolt guns, and ar.

I'm loading up 9mm right now do I can shoot that too. I wouldn't have shot the new one without a range report. I will start a thread, with pictures when I do.

Like I said we never shot the gun, but I've never seen a savage that didn't shoot good. To bad the ppu 243 is all out of shtock, you can get it for $11-12 a box. There stuff shoots pretty good and is good brass.

I found a box of ppu a couple weeks ago cost 17 retail at PA guns and ammo. I like ppu brass have a couple boxes for my 7mm08
