Housekeeping tip-

I’m sure I’m no the only one who swiped the wife’s cookie sheet. It helps keep brass shavings from going everywhere, and easier cleanup. View attachment 1151859
We buy cat and dog food by the flat. Those cardboard boxes are the perfect size. I just toss the whole thing in the recycling when I’m done. We got lots.
Nice trick not getting a frying pan to the noggin!

I procured one of Ma's cookie sheets to put under my casting pot. Good for catching OOPS!

I asked my wife, so, how much would it cost to replace one of your good Nordic Ware cookie sheets? She gave me the hairy eyeball and the 3rd degree until I confessed I was asking “for a friend.” Turns out her air-bake sheets are $20/each and the cheap ones are $15/each. I’ll stick to free cardboard, thanks. :)

ETA: Turns out she has some cookie sheets that are $50/each that I didn’t even know about. I don’t bake so I don’t need to know where the good stuff lives.

I bought a bunch of food trays, 4 plastic (15" x 22" approx) and 1 stainless steel about the same size for $1.00 with a bunch of big bowls from my local county Surplus site. I use the Stainless Steel tray under my Powder measure and Press cause my powder was getting everywhere, now I use a paint brush and brush it to the corner and then into the powder bottle when done. The Plastic trays I use under my trimmer to catch the brass shavings. The bowls I donated to the local thrift shop. Check out your local county surplus site online and use your discretion on what you need to buy!! Good buys from your bids, highest bid gets the item.

Don't mess with the cookie maker here, if I do then cookies are harder to get, and I am too old to start making my own cookies LOL. I just remember the old saying not to mess with the cook, pretty sure there is a magnetic sign that says that on the refrigerator.

"Wifes cookie sheet" bwahaha.... good one.

Wife of 40+ can't make poptarts. My mom,who also wasn't very good was however, the hostess at the Mayflower hotel on capital hill for a long time....

Introduced me to the world of... oh,how you say? damn good eats. Went to a real chef school for two years. Never entered the profession but I literally have to shoo the wife out of MY kitchen. All 4 of my sons are the real cooks in their families as well...

Yes cookie sheets represent a fantastic resource,we use them in our shop,a lot!
