Houston SD case: an acquittal

The Houston DA saw fit to present this case for trial, but a jury acquitted the father after seven hours of deliberation. A sad situation, yet it is a relief to know that a jury understands the words "fear for his life" and refuses to call that murder.

That link doesn't say a whole lot about what actually happened, but I guess I will defer to the jury on this. No reason not to.
