I just found this video and didn’t realize how many steps were involved with making kydex holsters. Most of the kydex holsters are USA made. Makes me appreciate these pieces of plastic even more.

Thanks for posting.
That fold-over/clamshell method can be the most expensive method, because you have to design/build a mold core.
Most makers use those blue dummy guns as a core to make a 2-piece (front/back) holster and glue on channels to the blue gun slides /top.
Like a sight channel, safety or de-cocking lever channel, etc.
I've seen fold-overs made with blue guns too.

I buy holsters off Ebay as they are cheaper because much of the finish work is not done.
Some rattail filing/deburring and smoothing the edges is needed though.
Once I tracked the return address on an ebay holster and it led to a major holster makers factory address.

I've helped my local holster maker in making holsters for some of my pistols. It is a long process but not difficult. Just need the proper tools. He uses both blue guns and the customers guns for unusual guns. Like making a IWB holster for someone's Desert Eagle with scope. He just uses painters tape and wooden blocks to create channels in the Kydex. Makes both fold over and pancake style holsters the same way.
