I took my VLS out to the range today and noticed a small crack developing from where the bolt handle is and migrates to the other side where the safety is. It doesn't go all of the way through to the outside layer of the laminated wood but is signifigant to cause concern. I guess is it was caused by the recoil where the rearward part of the receiver touches that part of the stock. My plan is to use some sort of glue/epoxy to seal the crack then sand that part of the stock to where it doesn't touch the receiver and reseal it. Now what adhesive to use? I had a guy at the range suggest super glue since it absorbs into the wood. Any other suggestions.
Thanks, Flip.
