I have an "upper" for an AR-15 style rifle, it is a 20 inch with barrel markings “C MP 5.56 Nato 1/7 HBAR”
The pin holes are ¼ inch holes.
What would the best lower receiver for me to get, preassembled and ready to go?

darn typo I meant AR-15 not 14

Palmetto State Armory, Del-Ton, DSA, really the lower just has to be in spec. Any good name brand will work fine.

Any complete lower should do, a bargain yet quality option would be Palmetto State Armory. A bit higher quality maybe Bravo company.

BCM would be my suggestion, but as stated, that is out.

PSA
Noveske & LMT are great, but are higher priced.

Lowers are practically a commodity item. Pick one with the rollmark you like, or can tolerate for the price. In stripped lowers you have to try pretty hard to get junk.

AGP, Surplus Arms, Palmetto, Spikes, BCM, Bushmaster, Colt, in no particular order, just to mention a few of the 3 dozen or more out there right now, and the list changes yearly.

FYI - PSA is running a Labor Day sale (think it's still on) - $50 for a stripped lower. I don't think you can beat that, and their stuff is high quality.

I just received a Doublestar from Centerfire systems (month ago) that I placed on a 7.62x39 upper. It was super tight, fit and finish w/o rattles and worked for me. Think I paid $229 with six point collapsible stock. I also have two Plumcrazy lowers that should be here today that will go on .22 CMMG uppers $119 delivered for each. Will do a review on them after I shoot them for a while. I have been told I will have to shave the hammers down ever so slightly so they will fit in the smaller channel of the BCG on the CMMGs.
