I got my computer when I was 73, I dont know Squat about computers. I;m a two finger typist, but, Id like to send some pictures of my guns. Ive got a Kodak camera that takes good pics but I cant email them unless I use Kodaks email system, Or I havent figured out hoe to do it. Does anyone know what I have to do to post some pics?

I talked to Deer reek in Indiana today. They have Pietta Steels for $196 and ASM Walkers for $264.

Posting Pics

First of all WELCOME to THR!!!

Now as to your problem. You might try to send the pictured to a file called "My Pictures". If you can then it is a simple matter to use the THR system to post them.

Sorry I can't be any more help, but BOTH of my typing fingers are getting sore!:D

If you can save the pictures on your computer, you can probably upload them to this site. You should save the picture as a jpeg file. The file name will look like this " picture.jpg." The picture should be about 640 megapixils long by 480 wide or the same measurements turned up on edge if it is to fit on the page.

to begin posting pictures, get to the Message screen either by clicking on "New topic" or "Reply.'
Scroll down past the message window to the point where it says "Manage Attachements." This will let you find the location of your picture on your computer. If you saved it to your desk top, you would Brouse "Desktop", find your picture file on it, click to select and then upload it.

Once uploaded, a thumbnail of your picture will appear under the message window. Clicking on it will cause it to expand for comfortable viewing. If you want to post the picture directly in the message window, click on the picture and then copy the address line of the picture at the top of your screen. Then you will need to past the picture in the " insert image" window of the Message box:
attachment.php

Look at the top of the message window where you see a line of options like B, I U A ...and an envelop with a couple of mountains on it. Push this and ou will pull up a box that has "http..." in it. remove the http: and paste your picture address instead. When you post the message, the picture should appear.
