How do you carry ammo for your revolver?

Speed strips are easier and more convenient to carry. Speed loaders are tougher to conceal.
 
In my Air Force SP days, I can recall one base armory issuing 12 spare .38 (FMJ) rounds in fairly stiff clear/white plastic strips that looked like they had been cut from something, maybe some kind of shipping material, since the ...
If those were intended as "speedloaders," we never used them that way

Thank you for the perspective! And for your service! This makes me smile.

I am in the Air National Guard now and have to say that the Security Forces guys seem pretty intense. They seem like they're all in condition 1 with M-4's and are quite willing to prone me out if I were stumble into the wrong place on the flight line (bless 'em).

One of the guys was telling me stories about back in the Army where he had to keep rounds in a sealed wrapper. I think that's like Condition 5 or something... :rolleyes:

Box of ammunition under the car seat. ;) The rest is in the gun. I have an HK speed loader also, but I seldom carry it.
 
Two speed strips, each in separate and otherwise unused pants pockets.
