How do you carry in your car? Photographs...

IM new here and not sure , or could not find a more appropriate place to put this thread... Apologies if I missed the right forum.

Personally , I carry ever waking moment....when I go out to my car I am armed.. on entering the car, I move my carry from my person and into a dedicated holster between the passengers seat and the console, just inches from my hand which rest on the console to shift gears. When I exit the car, the gun comes out with me.

On my hip. My new car has bucket seats so it is actually more comfortable to carry in my sedan than it was in my Trailblazer, which I find funny. Unless I am going somewhere in which firearms are prohibited (and enforced ie courthouse) the weapon doesn't leave my body.

I use CCW with my M&P Shield no thumb safety 9x19mm about 60% of the time. I use a Blackhawk, www.blackhawk.com , sportster holster.
If I don't have my 9mm Shield, I put my Glock 21 gen 04 .45acp in my 5.11 PUSH bag. I carry a extra mag too with the big pistol.
Recently, my friend gave me his Glock weapon-light. I leave it in my .45acp for any low light events or home security. It's not as powerful as the Surefire X300 but it fits the Glock & works ok.

If not in my pocket, then in the driver door map pocket. Being LH, this makes retrieval very easy and it is hidden from view.

This^^ I carry IWB all the time and find it perfectly comfortable and accessible.

Unless something/someone has caused my antennae to go up, when I get back in the car (eyeballing the space behind the seats thru the window & taking one more "SA" sweep of the area before I open the door) I usually place the pistol that I am carrying on my person in the glovebox.

The agent placed his pistol on the seat next to him for easy access and in a vehicle crash it ended up on the floor out of reach?

Having it secured is a good idea.

I've got an Alessi shoulder holster on order for carrying while driving. I've also got a lock box for my jeep that I am considering keeping a pistol in for emergencies (maybe a Hipoint). I've been looking into a holster that I can wedge between the seat and the console like yours but I don't think it would be comfortable for my wife.

Normally, the one in my pocket another in the open part of the center console another on top of the sun visor (NAA, so it only half counts) and a long gun of some fashion on/under the back seat. Spare mags in closed part is f the console.

I need another I'm sure, I just haven't thought of why yet.

If for whatever reason it isnt "on my person", then typically its sitting under my left leg.
I keep meaning to mount holsters somewhere in my cars.

I use the same method in my C4, a bit more forward. Leather holster though... 1911s and Hi-Powers fit the same holster. And btw, doesn't affect the passenger at all.

Personally I think it pretty petty and immature to stick your finger in someone's eye about carrying in your car and asking for photographs so we can share ideas, and you point out what appears to be some petty jealousy... always find some childish people in a gun forum who I question their age and actually ability to have a driver's license let alone own a gun...
I own a Corvette, IM sorry, I own a Kimber.. IM sorry they upset you so much. I'll Be glad when school is back in session and the Kids can get off the internet so us adults can discuss adult things.

On the issue of engaging in activities which are highly likely to result in a cop drawing a gun and pointing it at my head, i stand firmly on the "no" side. Legal or not, having a gun openly visible, within hand's reach, seems like a whole lot of problems waiting to unfold if pulled over.
