When I had my Bronco I used to keep my Mosin M44 under the back seat secured with a couple rubber coated hooks. I would also lock it to the seat if I was going to be away from it for more than a day.

How does everyone else here keep their weapons stashed? Have you ever had to get to it quickly?

I keep my Glock in the glove box in a holster. Used to carry an underfolder AK under the back seat of the truck, but I couldn't justify that on an emergency basis, and it was sliding around and getting marred, so I just keep the Glock close by.

I usually use a soft case with it and the long gun stuffed behind the seat with the end of the case partially unzipped (in case I have to reach in and grab it quickly).

I don't keep a gun in my truck on a general basis. I live in the 'burbs so truck guns have limited utility for me. However, when I go on road trips I take an M1 Carbine with a folding stock and about a half dozen mags loaded with JSPs, in case TSHTF while I'm away from home. Folded and cased in an M-60 barrel bag, it fits in the Contico SUV Utility box in the back of my Expedition. I padlock the box when the gun is inside.

In the bed tool box or behind the seat. shotgun usually in the toolbox and rifle behind the seat.

I don't leave guns in vehicles.

The scumbag crackheads like to break in and steal the car-wash quarters out of the ash tray.

Damned if I'm gonna play a part in arming them!

I keep mine in a film canister in the glovebox, how do the scumbags know you have quarters in your ashtray? Or are you saying they just break in anyways..

Just lying in the back floorboard with a blanket covering it. Mags in the console between the front seats, to comply with the "unloaded" thing required by law.

I have a duffel with a gun pocket. I usually set it on the right hand, rear floorboard so that I can reach between the buckets and retrieve it.

In addition to being convenient, it also makes it easy to pack in and out of the house so that I don't arm any crackheads that are breaking in to steal quarters out of the ashtray.

I didn't know you were allowed to carry firearms in a vehicle. Well when i get my license[ and car], i'll probably have a handgun ina box under the driver or passenger seat.

These are pretty nifty. They attach in place of the interior sunvisors and the middle sunvisor bracket. Locking models are available, also, and they are not obvious from outside the vehicle, so they won't be attracting the attention of your local thieving scum. The only problem is that straight bolt rifles, like a standard VZ24, don't fit very well due to the bolt sticking out the side so far. But a turned bolt solves that little problem just fine. Oh, and 2 rifles, or 1 rifle and one shotgun, or 2 shotguns, or 1 rifle and a bunch of handguns, or 1 shotgun and several handguns.... (LOL)... will fit just fine.
