My hammer drop lever has a little play in it that is driving me crazy (I have a touch of OCD). First, is such play normal? Second, if it is not normal, how do I tighten it up?
It is normal for the decocking lever to be a bit loose. Note that the decocking lever and the decocking lever bearing are held together by the decocking lever spring. I suppose that one could tighten up the lateral play by placing an appropriate shim washer on the decocking lever bearing, between the decocking lever and the decocking lever spring.
As for me, I don't notice the play in my decocking levers unless I deliberately look for it by wiggling the levers.
