It depends on the shooting range. I'll drive longer distances to get the range experience that I want. (longe range rifle w/ steel targets, preferably) I'm less willing to drive if I have to comprimise.

ChuckB and I spend about 3 hrs. commuting to our usual Sunday sessions. We would go further if we had to. Naturally, we would be appreciative if someone opened a (good) range closer to home.

I voted 30 minutes 'cause of where I live. Within that time, leaving in any direction from here, I can be in an uninhabited area appropriate for shooting anything I choose to shoot.

Actually I rarely ever have to leave my back yard. I have a clay thrower that slips into a steel tube embedded in concrete and can be rotated 360 degrees, stands set up at 7, 15, 25, 50 and 110 yards for my handguns and rifles ... all in my back yard with an absolutely safe backstop.

If I need to shoot beyond 110 yards then I just hop in/on a vehicle and drive out into the country and shoot. Never more than thirty minutes away.

I voted 2 hrs because I've actually driven over 2 hrs to shoot.

Not on a regular basis, though. This was to meet a few guys from another forum for a day of 200-300 yd shooting. The place I normally shoot at is about 10 minutes from my house.

I travel about an hour to shoot high power matches.

In all reality, I usually shoot on my 110 yrd range set off the deck. However, every six months I drive back to Western Washington to do an annual "Bring everything you got" shoot with my buddies. Which is coming up really soon!

For regular shooting, a half-hour tops. My preferred indoor pistol range is 15 minutes down the road, the shooting club (rifle, pistol, skeet, etc.) is 30 minutes depending on traffic.

To a specific plot of land where I can shoot for as long as I want with whatever I want, making a day of it - an hour or two.

To a specific plot of land, etc. in the Hill Country, making a weekend of it - three or four hours.

I've driven a few hours for a shooting class and other special shooting dates/events, but for routine range fun, an hour is my max.
