I stumbled on some impressive accuracy in a couple of places for N140 in 223, though the velocity is not screaming fast. I’m ok with that as I don’t usually push things too hard in that department. The other rifle rounds I load are 30-30 and 308. Does it work in those calibers as well? It would be mostly used in 308 and 223, as I’ve almost completely converted my 30-30 over to cast loads. I keep a few jacketed loads but 90% is cast now.

It's in my top 3 powders for both 308 in 150-175gr, and .223 from 68-77gr. GREAT accuracy and consistency with middle of the road velocity, very clean. Pretty much what I've found with all VV powders. A 155 BTHP or 168 SMK with N140 is as good as it's going to get in my LR308. My accuracy load with 75/77gr in .223 is also N140. I have no idea on 30-30, but I'm sure it'll do pretty well.

Let me help but answer your question sideways. N140 is in a class with imr 4064. N135 is just a bit slower than imr 4895 and n130 is in league with imr 4198 and n120 is not miles off of imr 4227. So thats the mental conversion I make. What is your favorite for the listed loadings I have no idea. Will n140 work in 30-30 with cast sure. Would I consider 133 and 135 absolutely.

Small kernels, meters well, medium burn rate, nearly identical to Varget, very accurate and cleans up easily, priced right and mostly available. I’d post a ladder test but last time it didn’t translate to everyone.

I’ve run it in 308. My brothers little Ruger will stack 150 gr interlocks up like wee tiny cloverleafs with it. Super clean.

I use N140 (24.5gr) with 75gr RMR’s in .223 and am very pleased with results.

I use it with 42 grains under a 165 Sierra boat tail bullet in .308, and it’s the best load I’ve found for my SFAR, including against factory match ammo.

I have a load with IMR 4064 using Speer 168 gr HPBT in 7.62 NATO brass, but I’m nearly out of IMR 4064. This may be the substitute I’ve been looking to find.

Same same. IMR4064 has always been my go-to for 168's in the .308 (with commercial brass,) but I'm almost out. I was hoping TAC would substitute, and it does... to a point. A pound or 4 of N140 is at the absolute top of my ToGet list.

What got this all started was the display on Midsouth Shooters Supply for 8lb of N140 for about the same price as H335. 8 lb would last me years if I loaded it in all the calibers above. Of course, I might just shoot them all more, then I'd be out again.

I haven't really given Match Rifle a fair shake yet, and I have a fair bit of that. However, an extruded powder for the same price as a ball powder is very appealing.
