How Long?

I just ordered a number of items from Powder Valley to include 32lbs powder, 4000 primers, and a few thousand bullets. Just about everything was out of stock. I told them to ship once everything arrived to save me shipping and hazmat fees. How long will I need to wait for my goodies?

Also, I ordered 5000 each of SP, LP, SR, LR CCI primers from Grafs and gave them the same instructions. Does anyone have a prediction on my wait time? Grafs said CCI is about 30-90 days behind.

I placed a slightly smaller order about 3 months ago...same deal...nothing in stock.

After a month I gave up and changed everything to stuff they had. I was able to find primers and some bullets locally, and I just decided that I should make do with what they had in stock.

Vihta Vuori powder costs a bit more, but it's really nice and they have almost the full line in stock.

You might be waiting a few months at least.

I have some .44 caliber bullets that have been on B.O. since April also.....ain't seen or heard nuttin'.

2010 maybe 2011 depending on what legislation comes down the pike. Unfortunately I am not kidding. I have had an order in with Grafs for 5000k WSPP since winter this year. Emailed them about it about a month ago and they said they were still filling orders from 2008.

Depending on which bullets you are after, I sell many pistol calibers in several grains and I ship the next day. I dont sell powder or primers so you will have to go elsewhere for them. My website is www.rmrbullets.com

Change your user name to Rip VanWinkle;)

Things seem to be coming in drips and drabs. Traveling around for work, I have been able to slowly accumulate what I want checking stores in West Virginia, Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, etc. It has been an interesting experience, at least.

I just got an invoice that says that they will be shipping the 2000 .40 FMJ Zero and 2000 .45 FMJ Zero bullets that I ordered. That did not take as long as I expected. I am still waiting for a lot more though.

Yeah your hold up is going to be primers and powder. An encouraging sign was I was at our local bass pro shop and they had a lot of powder on hand, compared to nothing on the shelves 2 months ago. They had a lot of dies and the store clerk said they had some primers in limited quantities. I am stocked so I passed. I did notice that they have gotten pretty proud of their product. I bought 4lbs of Red Dot form them 4 months ago at $59, they were at $69 today.

Not sure how Powder Valley does it, but Cabela's charges ONE hazmat fee per order, not per shipment.

I had a backorder of CCI SP primers on order with Grafs since mid-April. The FedEx guy just dropped them off this morning. That will give you a gauge of how long backorders are taking for some popular brands of primers.
