How many do you have in your carry line-up

Two right now. Will soon be three.

1. Para Ordnance P12-45
2. Llama Micromax .380
3. Soon to add Springfield Armory PX9505L 9 mm

Carry gun

I would carry a revolver if concealment were not a problem. Since semis are more concealable, I usually carry one of them. I usually carry when I really think I may need one, and have one in the car otherwise. I have generally carried a Smith 5906 with a Ramline Mag giving 18 in the gun. This is a little thick because of the double stack grip, but I have stuck with it because of endless testing and absolute reliability of the combo. I recently purchased a Star BM that may take the place in some instances, with a single stack, and smaller size.
Gotta test though, and reliability confidence comes slowly. I think that there is no substitute for thorough testing of a semi with the ammo that you are gonna use in the gun.

Keltec .32
Springfield Micro compact .45acp
S&W chief special

Actually the chief belongs to my wife but Texas is a community property state, and she never carries it, she carries a Bobcat.

A 649 "always" gun in the front pocket. That's usually it in the summer, but depending on weather, expected activities, and my mood, I tote a S&W 65 3", 629 3", 547 3". If not a revo, then a Colt LWC, or a G19 IWB. On rare occasions (like what, I don't know) a 9mmMak, either EG or Bulgie. Don't have a good MakHolster, tho, so that's kinda limited. I think if I ever got some decent leather for it, I might start totin' a CZ-75B.

Cool thread!

My primaries are all 1911's in .45 acp......
1) Lightly modified Government
2) Lightly modified LW Officer's
3) New (to me) CCO which is becoming my fave.
4) Occassional carry of Para LDA Companion

5) Twenty year old Commander. mostly retired.
6) Highly modified Government, early 80's IPSC gun, gets to come out of the safe every now and again. As I have gotten older, I have learned to prefer simplicity

All are carried in a variety of rigs, strong side 3 to 4 o'clock depending whether I am Off duty or on. Favorite is the Milt Sparks VM2H, but a belt silde and accumold paddle rig gets used alot too.

Back up is a S&W M37-2, mainly in the left trousers pocket, but it has been known to ride at 0ne o'clock in an IWB, or in a jacket pocket in winter.
Been trying out Miladies PM9 and I might be looking for one of these as a BUG/Always Gun in the future.

The 1911 is 95% carry, the .38 is just in case.

I'm kinda curious about the couple of us who are carrying Browning Hi-Powers. I loooooove my BHP, but haven't been comfortable carrying it for years. I probably created my reluctance however. A number of years ago, I added an extended, ambidextrous safety. Since then I have been unable to find a holster that has a thumbbreak flexible enough to get between the hammer and the slide, yet firm enough to re-holster one-handed. A couple of times, I've had a firm thumbbreak actually work the safety off--There I was with a hot, unsafetied BHP on my belt. Not good.

So most often, when I do carry, I carry my Glock 23c IWB with an extra mag. At the times when I need more discretion, I break out Mrs. AZLib's Walther PPK in a cheap IWB rig I have.

I currently have three carry guns.
Winter: Springfield mil-spec 1911 w/ 8 round Wilson Combat mag.
Carried OWB, strong side (right).

Summer: Taurus 617 .357 mag, 7 shot.
Carried IWB, strong side

Vehicular Travel: FN FAL assault rifle w/ 3 20 round .308 magazines
Under rear seat of my Dodge 1500 quadcab truck.

I will be adding a Glock 27 w/ trijicon night sights in about a week.
Will carry on ankle as primary "church gun."

Situation

I have 4 pistols that I can carry comfortably. 3 Steyrs, and my new little 637 J frame. What I carry is usually changes depending on what I am planning on wearing. Since it is still pretty cold here in WI I could easily carry my P89 if I wanted to, but I usually just stick with my Steyr S40 when I am wearing something a little more bulky. This summer I am planning on carrying my 637 in a Don Hume IWB holster.

I decided that I need to start practicing more with drawing my carry piece and shooting quickly at multiple targets. That is something I will be working on next weekend.

Missed this thread somehow - - -

Usually one or two of these three, over 90% of the time - - -

Colt .45 Commander
S&W M37
Colt Agent

I occasionally get the urge to pack something different - -
Browning HP 9 mm
S&W 10-4 heavy barrel
S&W pre-model 10, M&P, either 4" or 2" - - -
Or, rarely, my "Weddings & Funerals" Government Model, engraved, with carved pearl stocks.

I normally carry my duty Glock 22. Once in a while I'll carry my Glock 27 or one of my Rugers. If things are really bad in terms of be able to conceal anything bigger, I carry a small Colt 25 ACP.

Haven't heard anybody mention REDUNDANCY yet

Nevada requires you qualify each time you renew your CCW.

For any gun you qualify with to carry you must list the following:

MAKE

MODEL

CALIBER

But not serial number.

EXAMPLE: I presently carry a snubby S&W and and am building redundancyin that line.

If I must shoot someone with ( say just for example ) a S&W model 36 in 38 spl., the gun will surely be taken by law enforcement. I will, I trust, be released without charges, but the gun will likely remain in their custody for a while. I intend to have a redundant 36 waiting for me at home.

I had a 10/55 380 Browning auto in near excellent shape on my license. I got rid of it due to unease at the idea of carrying a striker fired auto chambered with a safety that was difficult to place on safe, but brushed the safety off with the next thing to a mere hard look. The point is, I had another 10/55 nib unfired at home.

I now have a CZ83 listed in the Brownings place. Guess what?

russlate,
I definitly beleive in redundancy, but i havent found the "perfect" platform yet for me to start buying multiples of. I do have guns with similar triggers(single action) for all my primaries. Plus, Virginia doesnt require us to qualify or list our weapons.
