How many of you have used check weights, to verify the accuracy of your scales.

I've used the single 700 grain check weight that came with my digital scale, but that's been it. Over the week end, I ordered a set of check weights from http://www.sinclairintl.com and will make it my business to use them on a regular and frequent basis.

My original balance scale had some check weights, which I used at the start of every session, but I haven't used that scale in quite a few years.

I use a "check weight", in a roundabout sorta way. Got a few .224" 50gr bullets lying around that I know to be true, so I use them as check weights of sorts.

Use'm before every loading session. It's easy fast insurance.

I own check weights. I have used them to check the accuracy of my three scales. They were all within 1/10 grain. I seldom verify this because they have never varied from this figure and there is no load I am going to be using where 1/10 grain is going to make the load go from safe to unsafe. Besides, my powder measure varies more than my scale. What would cause my scale to be accurate today and then not accurate tomorrow ?

my digital scale uses check weights but they are quite heavy compared to pistol powder weights. I now use a large headed pin I swiped from my wife that weighs 4.8 grains. I still use the check weights per manufacture suggestion but I also throw the pin on the scale a couple of times during a loading session to get a quick read.
