I've learned to clean after every use...once years ago, I didn't clean a gun thinking I didn't shoot much & I could clean after the next time out & didn't shoot for 4 years  So, now it's after each & every use :D

Every time

But I could have voted every 100 rounds because that is about how many rounds I shoot in a range trip per gun.

A clean gun is a happy gun.

And a happy gun will take care of you.

Mine get cleaned everytime they are shot. The amount of cleaning directly proportional to the the amount of shooting. Guns like M1s, bolt actions etc get a bore clean every 100-200 rds and a full strip 400-500 rds.

Quality firearms will still work while being very dirty but I choose not to press my luck with carry guns.

carry guns get cleaned after 100-250 rounds depends on the gun a little IE my S&W 442 cyl.starts to drag a little about 150 rounds so it gets cleaned a little more often.range guns snake, wipe and oil before they get put away and cleaned once a year or if they malf.

I had a 32 H&R sp101, I shot some 32 S&W cci through it, then just spent the next 3 days scrubbin like hell. Learned my lesson, gave it to my brother who will never fire it. Now I clean after every trip.

My carry guns are always cleaned after use. My range beaters are low maintenance versions of my carry guns - they get cleaned maybe every 500-1000 rounds.

My Sig gets field stripped and bore cleaned every trip to the range. How do I do a more detailed cleaning than that?

My Garand gets bore cleaned every trip to the range. I'll strip it down and detail clean it every 500 rounds or so.

Not nearly as often as I used to, say 30 or 40 years ago. I used to be obsessive about it, but now I realize that a dirt doesn't hurt anything.

I still don't like fingerprints on my guns.
