How often do you go shooting?

i used to go 4 times a month when ammo was cheaper , now that ammo prices went up i only go 1 or 2 times a month now to stay in practice.

AH yes in my youth, before I was married and had heaps of free time, every weekend, for the whole weekend, we would dust off several thousand rounds of various calibers, .22 .45. .30 .44 12 and 16 Gage at my Uncles farm,,,,, now I have a nice farm with a great shooting range, more guns and ammo but no time......

Once a week usually, twice if I can swing it although I have slacked off a bit in the last couple of months. My main problem is getting myself transport down to the range, my being without a car currently.

Once a month. An hour trip to the nearest range and an hour trip to my friends farm allows me to shoot far less than I'd like.

Definitions - Going shooting means taking time to go to a specific place and shoot at least 20 rounds through a particular weapon.

I go out back and shoot 1 box per pistol every month since Jan.

I shoot when I have time and the weather cooperates. Lately I have had zero time. The range is only 15 minutes from my house. Fishing, other outdoor activities and family obligations compete for my free time. Fishing takes presidence in the spring and I have little time for that. My life does not revolve around target shooting.

when i go shooting i like to go with other people and shoot for several hours. lately it's been difficult to get people to go due to money/time/weather restraints. used to be everyday (.22) then once a week (everything else) but now i'm lucky if it's once a month if i'm lucky. i do still practice drawing from concealment and dry fire practice several times a week.

I voted 1ce a month or less. I live in C(r)ook county, IL and prefer to shoot on family's land in northeast Wisconsin. I get up there 4 times a year or so cause its 250 miles away.

I go at least weekly - more if I can make the time. I have set myself a hobby ammo budget of $350 bucks a month and usually always shoot that across the various calibers I own.

Fortunate to have a choice of ranges close to me - a 1000 yarder about 45 mins away, an indoor 5 minutes from work, and then another private club with IDPA/IPSC type bays - they allow draw from holster, movement, transitions etc. I also shoot matches, about once a month.

I'm off Mondays so I try to reserve a few hours for range time. If I don't have any CF loaded there's always a few .22's to take.

I'm lucky to be able to shoot hand guns, rimfire rifles, shotguns in my back yard. Don't have the room for centerfire rifles, these I take to the range. I voted 4 times a month.

it used to be once every other month, but since i got my ccw i want to try to go at least twice a month. if i handloaded it would be once a week. i dont think we can practice enough when we carry. not only is your familys & your own life at stake but other people & objects as well. so now it isnt just for fun anymore.

If I get to shoot more than 6 times a year...I'm happy. The club is only 15 min. away...time just will not let me get there more often!

Some times my wife will say "pack your stuff and lets go." Still surprises me. She won't shoot. She just reads while I run back and forth shooting, policing brass, resetting targets, laughing at the poor shooting...sometimes I'm glad she isn't paying much attention!

Its still more fun going with the guys, My sons and their friends still let me go with them. Humor the old guy...and shoot his revolvers.

I'm still looking forward to going with my grandson!

I haven't gone shooting but one time in the last 2 years. I took my grandsons out. I'm sorry, but I can't afford to buy the ammo anymore.

I reload my own, so its not so much the ammo, it's the time.

Why oh why, with all the tech and us getting so advanced with everything,
are we losing so damn much of our free time?

when the snow comes in about 1-2 a month.(that dosnt include air-rifle and air-pistol shootings 2 a week.)
