I just got a Case CV Canoe folder simply because I liked the shape. It turns out to be a comfortable and practical pocket knife.
Question: When did the canoe style begin? I don't recall the shape from 50-odd years ago when in grade school, but that might just be my aging memory. A search didn't turn up any info. Just idle curiosity.
(BTW, I'm going nuts for the Case CV knives, preferably with the yellow grips. The Canoe isn't offered with the yellow grips, unfortunately. I prefer them to the Case stainless versions, good as they are. A middle-size CV Stockman is now my favorite pocket whittling knife.)
Thanks for any help.
