How old is my Clackamas Kimber?

I just picked up a Kimber Classic Custom serial numbered in the 5,000's. I was curious if anyone knew when it was manufactured.

I'm not sure if its true, but I read that even the guns marked Clackamas Oregon were made in Yonkers! I thought that was interesting.

Any thoughts?

Probably late 96 or early 97. I bought my Clackamas (#53XX) new on 3/8/97.

I was told they were all built in Yonkers, but the ATF said they had to be marked with the address of the company's headquarters. Although I seem to remember the first few, 5 or 6?, prototypes were custom built in Pennsylvania IIRC. I want to say Art Leckies shop, but it's been a long time since I even thought of this discussion.
