Before I reloaded 500 pulled AP bullets and 1000 pulled tracers I cleaned the sealant tar off the bases of the bullets. I ran them through my tumbler with new corncob media and while it was running I added some aceatone. Of course I did this outside with the lid off, as soon as the aceatone evaporated I removed the bullets and they were perfectly clean and all the paint that was used is gone as well. Now that they're reloaded I would like to color the tips back to the color they were, black and orange. Any advice on a good product that won't end up in the chamber or any other unwanted area.

I'd just dip the tips in some model airplane paint, just be sure not to get it past the ogive. How did the tracer compound hold up thru the tumbling?

I haven't fired any of the tracers yet, but all the tracer compound is sealed behind a copper cup. I didn't use much aceatone when I tumbled them and it evaporated in about 15 min. I don't think the tracer bullets should be any worse off for it.
