I want to sell a few hundred rounds of .223 Wolf ammo, but I am unfamiliar with the shipping process. I know there are certain carriers you can and cannot use and there are certain procedures that need to be followed. Can/will anybody enlighten me?
UPS ground, in a box with a label (even hand drawn) "Cartridges, Small Arms - ORM-D". Google the label for an example, maybe even one you can print and tape on. No extra fees involved, but it does have to go UPS ground.
Navy called it, end of thread. Only thing is they can't be hand drawn any more. At least that's what my UPS said when I shipped ammo a couple days ago.
ORM-D still works, but there is a new labeling scheme to be more internationally consistent (see attachment). The pro is that it doesn't say "small arms ammunition". The con is there may be a cost, but UPS seems confused about how to handle the new label. It will be required starting in 2014.
