Sure the body on most european cars is tough, but between the electrical problems, oil leaks, gratuitous over enginering and overpriced replacement parts I think I will stick with my old civic, and nice shiny Ranger.

Um, I don't think your definition fits. As shown, how would setting off a charge in it's engine compartment damage it's "immobilizer"? The mechanic also talks about one Mercedes service run tht involved a "bad immobilizer"...???

Cannon is total BS - no recoil. Remote detonated charges, no explosive cannon balls loaded,. Solid shot would have torn a ragged hole in the body, not blown OUT from inside the door panel. Makes you wonder how much of this is total BS.
An immobilizer is a switch somewhere in the ignition chain, that prevents a vehicle from being started. This can be a remote electronic switch, controlled by a transmitter on the key fob, or it can be a physical switch, hidden somewhere in the car.

I have an Acura Integra that I would not trade for the world... I have a 2001 VW Golf that is my 5th VW. I had a 1977 Mercedes 280se that was hit by a Chevy Suburban. I put on a new door and away she drove. By the time I got rid of it, i had 450,000 miles racked up on it with a new transmission at 300,000. Had to replace a gasket here and there, but overall, I would not think twice about geting another Benz(provided money wasn't an issue). No matter how much I beat the living hell out of it, it just kept going...

Cannon balls come in both solid and explosive forms. The thing that made me wonder about the cannon balls is they did not show the powder be poured in and the ball was just dropped in not rammed into place. A muzzle loading cannon in loaded exactely the same way any other muzzle loading firearm is. The ball has to be pushed into place with a ramrod.

Archer1945, not true. Cannon balls are indeed solid, you are thinking about "shells" which are fired from howitzers and mortars. (we can get into a long discussion about what shells look like and how they are fired) It wasn't until Shrapnel introduced his "Shrapnel shell" that cannons became capable of firing explosive ordnance. (Grapeshot and cannister aren't explosive either)
From the video, she is clearly loading a solid cannonball.

N they are real great cars you cannot wear them out, gets 52 MPG at 100 MHP (don't ask) fits my 6'4" frame in the back seat with room to spare, and will leave most cars in the ditch in a tight curve.

When they tried to assassinate Edward Shevardnadze, his Benz soaked up a few 40mm grenades and machine gun fire while his driver drove throught the ambush. he got out without a scratch. I believe that was one of the armoured Guard models though.
I was in an accident with my baby Benz a couple of years ago. Two cars hit me; both totalled. I had to change a tire and reaim a headlight to finish driving to dinner.
