How would you handle it

To everyone else who lives in fear of blue rubber guns:

Does going to "TARGET" make you sweat? That place has a big bullseye on the front of the store... Does that mean that you run zig-zag through the parking lot to avoid getting hit by stray bullets intended for the store sign?

No, but somebody acting an idiot with guns does, second, please post your medical records with a full eye exam so we can determine that you can in fact see the difference between a blue gun and real gun at 50 feet.

If your unwilling to do that, then please stop commenting as it adds nothing to the discussion, with is how would you deal with said situation in public, your being to ignore someone shining a laser in your eyes, or yelling across the store.

50 feet... not far at all. I have corrected vision to 20/15. While I may be somewhat limited to a degree at long distance, I have no trouble discerning colors, particularly bright ones.

How would I have handled it? I already told you how I'd handle it. I'd keep walking. If you keep walking directly toward the kid with the laser, guess where the beam stays? In your eye!

If you didn't want other members to critique your reaction to the kid with "lethal" intent waving a blue rubber gun with a laser at you, you should not have posted a thread titled "How would you handle it". I would not have overreacted the way that you did. You really made a mountain out of a mole hill, no if's, and's, or but's. I don't think you really believe your vision was all that damaged by the laser. Have you ever looked into the sun, walked outside without sunglasses on a bright day, or had a flashlight in your face? Any one of these are about equal to what you describe. It was so brief, and you're as angry as if he had actually shot at you.

This video is also pretty good in it's entirety, but please at least pay attention from 22 seconds to 27 seconds.

Calm down and have a nice night.

My wife and I visited friends and it was dark when we decided to leave. Walking to the car I was lasered from across the street. There were several people in a group. I just yelled across to them that " lots of people carry guns and some of them put lasers on their guns...and if that little light hit me again I planned to shoot at it". I don't know the age of the individual(s) , nothing else was said, the light didn't come back on. We drove off. I don't like to be dotted...I've gotten to where I don't trust people much, anymore. Sad thing.
