Howa Rifle Info Needed....

My brother has a model 70 .270 that's like that. I run some thicker lube (cooking spray) and run them through the sizer really slow. I've never thought about sanding on the die!
I guess a guy could sand a touch on the shell holder if you didn't want to mod the die.

Howa has three barrel weights. The lightest is on their minis and maybe some others. They use the medium barrel on their 1500's. It's beefy and I'm pretty sure there would be enough metal there to thread for a suppressor. The heavy barrel is massive and probably heavier than most. I have a mini and a HB so if anyone wants those dimensions I can get those. I don't have a 1500 medium so don't know what that is. This is important when buying a Howa because they're a bit different. I used to have the barrel OD's but lost the info.

I think mine is the thinnest they make. It's a ranchland compact. It measures .610 at 16" if I remember correctly.

That's correct. Same as the Mini. Mine gets hot pronto and stays hot way too long. I bought a HB varmint also and switch when one gets too hot. Those light barrels make great 3 and out rifles. Any more than that and I can watch the POI start to walk horizontally to the left. Not much but it's noticeable.
