Well, just acquired an SP101 to keep my 442 and model 36 company. It has a hammer, the 2 some inch barrel, and crimson trace grips. A friend sold it to me for $400, after Gander Mountain offered him $420 (he said he'd rather it go to a good home, which I appreciated). Seems in great condition and has a very smooth consistent trigger pull. I'll get everyone some pics when I have a camera available! Was this a decent price? I know i've seen new ones going for $400, though they didn't have the CT's. This thing is definitely a little cumbersome compared with the 442! Not too bad though. sp101 owners, come brag and tell me how you carry yours so I can rotate this into the line up

Hi David
You owe your friend a nice dinner. A special friend indeed to think of you before trading it to Gander. Great revolver, greater price with the CT's. Go and enjoy.
Have a safe and prosperous New Year

Without the CTs, that gun would sell for $439 in my area NIB, $375 used. $400 used with CTs is a freakin' deal. I agree, I'd take you friend out to lunch, treat him to some range time or somthing!

I will say though that $420 was probably not a bad deal on the trade either.

Good deal!
Welcome to the club, I have one of each also. Love 'em both.
The SP101 is a mini hand cannon with factory .357's....big difference than the 442.
