I know, I know, 2400, H110, Blue Dot, all more ideal powders for .357 mag.
However, I have a bunch of HP-38 and a bunch of Missouri Bullets .357 mag 158 grain. The Hodgdon website says
3.4 grains for 796
5 grains for 1109

If you have used HP-38 or this type of load please share your charge and results. Many thanks,

Thomis

Not for light plinking to mid-range loads with cast bullets it isn't.

Just follow the data you noted from Hodgdon and you will do fine.

You cannot load max velocity Magnum loads with HP-38, but I guess you don't want too anyway.
