Duke and I were chatting this weekend and we were thinking about another camping trip in the San Luis Obispo area possibly in the National Forest Region.

It'll be an excuse to go buy some camping gear and burn some red meat!

there's a neat trail we can backpack on between kernville and mcnally steakhouse.

How far is the trail, and is it level and easy? I'm pretty bad at backpacking, but that could be pretty fun if my my lazy, fat ass can keep up.

SLO region is an idea area for both Nor Cal and So-Cal folks. And besides somewere around here wouldnt be considered a "trip"

Somewhere around SLO= Great for me, because It'll be easier for me to make it/ increases my probability of showing up (even if I DO manage to piss my parents off). Still, I'm definitely not closed to a trip more inland if that's what people like. It ain't THAT far from here.

Their isnt really too much of a deal with digital cameras. Skunk and I got our digital cameras around the same time and neither one of us have a shooting buddy locally. So when we hook up the shutters are a-blazing.

Get tired of shooting for the day....we pick up the cameras. Various locations in CA also give us a chance to shoot some different scenerios.

Cool. I recently picked up a digital camera too. I guess that will make it 3. How many more before we are tactically classified as a digicam squad. Rifle squads are like what? 5?

Here is a map of National Forest Area for those interested in the National Forest Camp Out. I think we have enough votes for SLO that we are going to camp up around there. It will be a good area for Nor and So-Cal people to meet up. About 4-5 hour drive for both parties involved.

The fiance and I have a wedding to attend (not ours) on the 9th and the 16th & 17th are booked for another shotty class.
