From a click on Google i read that it was Ray Nagin and his Superintendant of City Police. Seems like I had read that the decision was made by the National Guard commanders though.

In post #756, is it just me or is are the gas tubes on the double-M4 going to the wrong place? The top tube goes to the bottom and the bottom one to the top.

Exactly. It's a rifle designed to shoot two times per trigger pull. The top rifle bolt has a fixed protruding firing pin.

When the lower shoots its cartridge it cycles the top rifle, which in turn immediately shoots the top cartridge because of the fixed firing pin and cycles the bottom rifle.
 
Inregards the the double AR-15. That gun is real, Tony is a firearms genius.

The latest and most insane creation by Tromix is this Siamese 223 for LAW Enforcement only. The synergistic exchange of gas tubes forces the expanding gasses from the lower rifle to the top rifle allowing it to cycle a cartridge into the top breach then fire when the bolt is closed. The gas from the top rifle is then sent back down to the lower rifle where the first empty round gets ejected and a new cartridge is loaded into the breach. It is a wicked wild ride when fired FULL AUTO.

We added it to mark the target better, because it was getting dusk.

But yes, if someone were to invade my home in this area, I would bet good money he would be wearing jewelry like that.
