Gentleman,
Appreciate some guidance here. I was brought this pistol as a basketcase that a previous gun shop tore apart and couldn't figure out how to reassemble it. So they put all the parts in a box and returned it. The owner brought it to me, and I ended up getting the springs all refreshed and got it reassembled and operational. Had to make one spring out of another as it wasn't available. The pistol is now fully assembled and is 100% serviceable. I have personally shot it 10-12 times to make sure it cycles, feeds, reloads, etc using Fiocchi 380 Auto, 95gr FMJ, @ 960fps factory ammo as the test ammo.
As you can see its rough on the outside so its not a collector level firearm. I'm not a WWII weapons expert. The owner wants to sell it and wondering what price range is fair? He isn't trying to make a killing, just wondering what a fair price range would be for a serviceable M37?

Any and all feedback is welcome.

TIA,
Steve

That pistol is of the German contract 32acp type, as denoted by the slide inscription and the presence of a safety. I guess it’s got a .380 barrel in it now? The Hungarian issue variant was in .380 but none of the German contract guns were. And none of the Hungarian ones had a safety switch or those markings. I’ve heard barrels and mags may interchange but it’s not like extra barrels for these grow on trees so have not tried it myself. If it’s really a .380 I’d have to assume value (as “non-original”) would be less. The serial looks like a C-xxxxx, which is an odd run of 32acp guns at the end of WWII that nobody seems to know much about, probably extra parts that were assembled into several thousand guns and issued to somebody Hungarian, before the Red Army overran the country. So it’s got some interesting history. Ballpark real world value in that condition and with the caliber question, about $350?
