I added a new gun rights org to my support list

I read one the articles from a THR thread linked to the attorney that filed the suit. Mentions this organization, and, the reason for this post, article stated they have over 4 MILLION members?

NOT TO DERAIL OR START A BASHING THREAD, but...alternative to NRA if NY gets their way? Maybe?

The NAGR is even more political, right-wing, self-serving, and grandstanding than the NRA. It's like going from the frying pan into the fire.

because they are the first group suing

I'll point out that being "the first" isn't always a good criteria. Being the best at it is. It takes time to develop a good case that will survive court tests and possibly go before the Supreme Court. SAF and Firearms Policy Coalition have a very good track record with that.

I'm for supporting organizations that fight for the 2A, but where you put your support is important in achieving results.

Yes, and you'll note I already support both you mentioned. This thread was to advise of an addition to my group of organizations supported, not in any way intended to imply one was better than another. They are all different, do different things in different ways, and IMO the best way to fight for 2A is to support as many as possible, not just one over the others. "Being the first" in the San Jose case was not my sole reason for deciding to support; it was mostly that it was what brought them to my attention.
