I already spent my yearly firearm budget, but isn't that what credit cards are for?

I went into one of my favorite Pawn Shop/LGS on Wednesday afternoon with no expectations, just looking at the new and used handguns and told the man behind the counter who was unboxing some new inventory, I'd been reading about the Ruger 57 ... he handed me a box with Ruger in big red letters and said I just got two in, take a look!

Short story abbreviated, it went home with me and yesterday I striped, cleaned and I made a trip to the range with it and my AR57 on my M16 lower.

I also looked for ammo on line and to say I was stunned is an understatement ... FN 197 ammo I bought when I got my PS90 was $17.99/box of 50 I bought 2K rounds and it has gone up nearly 7x in price! I've always saved my brass and have a 2-liter bottle full; with current ammo prices this may turn out to be only an occasional shooter, it is a great companion to my AR57.

I didn't find it to be particularly snappy although it does flip the cases quite a ways away. Also the safety bar on the trigger was a bit uncomfortable, and a couple times the mag release dropped the mag enough it wouldn't chamber the next round, not sure if it was me or the pistol, I made sure it was locked in after the first time but it happened again ... maybe my grip? Now that I'm aware I'll have to pay more attention but it only happened those two times.
