I just read from a few sources that a prequel to "I Am Legend" has been greenlit by Warner Bros. and will star Will Smith again. It should be in theatres sometime in 2011. It will deal with the time leading up to the outbreak, and will include the 3 years of decline before "I Am Legend" begins.

So to keep this gun related, what kind of weapon stuff do you want to see in this film? For me, I'd like to see how/when/where he aquires all his M4 variants. Is it from a military lock-up? Does he raid gun shops? Why does he choose the various pistols he keeps? His bedside gun is a Beretta M9, his car gun looks like an HK USP, and he pulls some unidentified (to me) S&W semi-auto out of a drawer when he wakes up to strangers in his house.

I'd like to see Smith's character (Neville) setting up his home with the explosives outside, steel window coverings, stashed handguns, etc. Also, it might be interesting to see his first violent encounter with the infected while armed (Do I shoot? Are they still human?...)

Anyway, what gun stuff will you be hoping for in this prequel?

I would love to see all kinds of Sh$!. Some Grende Launchers would be nice. YOu know more explosions!! I thought that movie was great and glad to hear they're making another one. To bad about his dog though. Had to fight back some misty eyes man. Whew Tough One!!!

Regarding the dog - I know, that was the worst part of that movie. But, at least in this one, the dog will be alive the whole movie!

I’d like to see how (and why) a SR-71 Blackbird gets to be parked on an Aircraft carrier! … that said, I loved the movie and will defiantly go to see a prequel.

That is the USS Intrepid, or now known as the "Intrepid Sea-Air-Space Museum" and an SR-71 is there.

Thanks ... you've put me out of my misery! I'm coming over the States next year and will go and have a look at that.

I saw one at RAF Fairford over here once at an airshow- amazing plane

why an m4 and m9....."because the military uses it and its cool?" id get some nice weapons. lets see if he uses hollowpoints or pc nato crap. now that i vented that,

id like to see large scale gunfights, rioting and the such. groups of people gunning their way out of new york

Certainly would! … I visited ‘Fantasy if Flight’ in Polk City’ last year and watched this baby take off and beat up the airfield – here

Fantastic!! ...‘Grown men have been known to cry’

Of course you needed a Brit engine to make it fly and sound right:D

Please, God, someone read the book if you want a real mind-bender.

Definitely. All of the stories in the book are mind-benders. You really understand why the story (and movie) is called "I am Legend". Not something I got from the movie. It is a decent adaptation, seeing as how the book was written in the '70s.

As far as gun-related stuff... I'd like to see where and how he gets equipped.

I also second the rioting and seeing things go from chaotic to completely messed up after the helicopter crash. (That's the same movie right?)
