Well, I guess I owe you guys an apology. I have ranted for a while now at all you guys who kept telling me about cheap ruger security sixes and smith modle tens everytime I asked a question about an inexpensive brand of revolver. This was because in several years of gun shopping, I had never seen such an animal. :cuss:

But today, On a whim I went to a gun shop I don't normally frequent (out of the way) and found a great looking stainless Security Six with a 6" barrel with a tag of $235. When I noticed that the adjustment screw was missing from the rear sight, I got the price down to $205 and I put it on layaway! I will be picking it up as soon as my permit arives!

So sorry for my disbelief. I guess the $200 american revolver does exist. ;)

(its still annoying when people dont answer your question or just tell you you are on the wrong track. As if they know what you are lookin for better than you do  )

On arelated note, does anyone happen to have a spare rear sight screw laying around? :p

OK

Uh, no.

Now if you're interested in some unsolicited advice..............

Checkout www.e-gunparts.com. I believe they have what you're looking for.

You could also fit Millett sights - they are significantly better, in my experience, than the Ruger factory sights. You can get a front and rear set, or the rear alone.

Too late '45, I took Southpaws (thanks) advice and ordered it from e-gunparts for $1.50

I also order a set of inletted grip blanks ($5)so I can custom fit my hands. Ive always wanted to try that.... :)

Well , here's the Smith Model 10-8 that I picked up for $150 2 weeks ago . I almost got a Barney Fife Edition pencil barrel for the same price in slightly better shape , but the vintage Monogrip and heavy barrel sold me on this one . She's actually in pretty good shape , that's not worn bluing just showing some of the 200 rounds I went through just to make sure it works as good as I've heard people claim . I reckon it does :D
