Why tout ineffectivity?

Decent M14 mags stopped being made long before the AWB. Even with the AWB gone (which ain't gonna happen), new quality M14 mags are a fantasy.

Why does your sig' line indicate life membership in an organization that you believe will be ineffective in achieving the AWBAN sunset?

Why such confidence in our adversaries and zero confidence in our ability to overturn this travesty?

Schumer isn't so tough!

Diane better never send anyone to my door to collect my collection.

With such self-defeating rhetoric from our side...why does Sara even have to lift a finger...life members of the NRA have such gloom and doom feelings...she shouldn't even have to take out any adds...

I'm not giving up or giving in...or expecting failure!!! I won't suffer those who do...BUCK UP!!!

CZ52Guy,

I have done pretty much all I can do to help the ban sunset. Letters to Congress, Senate, President. Money to NRA.

However, I have no confidence that the Republican Party will stand up and fight the gun grabbers when the heat is on.

Bush, by saying he will sign the ban, is giving members of Congress encouragement to sign it.

About a week ago I received a letter from Saxby Chambliss, Republican Senator from Georgia, with an A+ NRA rating. He told me he appreciated my concern about the issue. He said he knew renewing the AWB would affect sportsmen, and he would take that into consideration. He is apparently clueless.

They are already beginning to cave in, and the battle has not yet begun.

I am not voting for George for another reason altogether. He passed a bill that takes effect in march. Bascially if you make more than 65000 a year or if your a cop, firefighter, emt and a few others, your employer no longer has to pay you overtime. Screw him. He will not get my vote short of Hillary Clinton running against him. I am protected by a union for now. But when the contracts up who knows. Its not as simple as republican vs democrate. I will vote for the canidate based on the issues I support.

- With this type of projection in the House...I'd say it is the Anti's who should be concerned...we have 3 chances to kill this thing, they need three things to align perfectly by 9/13/2004...I think most politicians realize that the AWBAN is political suicide...those with any memories of 1994...didn't work out too well for the party in power, did it?

- 355sigfan - ...this thread is about the AWBAN...what THR members are doing as to full cap purchasing patterns...and a little prognosticating about what may or may not happen regarding the price of full caps and their availability should the ban sunset...and a little pontification on my part to try to motivate those who wrongly believe that extension is a foregone conclusion...it is not.

- As to GWB...his likely opponent in 2004 is FOR the extension of the ban, and accuses GWB of "not really being willing to sign it"...given the "intelligence" provided by GWB's likely opponent...I'd be inclined to hold my nose and vote for GWB...simply because the alternative is unthinkable...

- I'm unsubscribing...take the thread wherever you want...

Happy New Year,
