12 Volt Man

Through a local classified ad I bought a used 870 Express Magnum. $150.00 bucks. Not a bad deal. The gun is well worn. The previous owner sanded off the finish because he liked the lighter look of the wood. I will refinish it just because I like the idea of the project. The finish is worn on the metal in many places. Doesn't bother me at all. 26 inch barrel. The action is slick. On the vent rib (I guess you call it that), it is bent down against the barrel in one spot. It doesn't appear to effect the sighting of the gun. He told me that it only has approx 8 boxes of shells through it. I doubt that, but is still has many years of good use left in it.
It may end up as a HD gun eventually. I could pick up an 18.5 inch barrel for it and keep it in the bedroom. Mainly I got it for a knock around gun that I don't care if it gets rained on etc..... Plus, everybody should have an 870
It takes it's place beside my Nova and CZ 712.
