I don't know all the ins and outs yet either, and I have been buying S&W revolvers since 1975.

All I could do in 1975 was drool over them. Bought my first one, a nice used Model 14, three or four years later. Then a long break before the next one.

I hear you. I did a lot of drooling before 1975. I can clearly remember standing at a shop window in Vermont drooling over a Ruger Super Blackhawk when I was too young to legally buy a pistol.
