We had lots of fun. Dad gave me a variety of rounds to shoot off. I had .357, .38 spc and the .38 spc had heavy loads and medium loads. They were fun!!!!!!!! So fun I stopped aiming at the targets and just shot them. :uhoh:  I wasn't used to it at first so I didn't hit much. :uhoh:  It was too much fun just shooting it. :D

I'm so glad we can just shoot in his back yard. :neener:

I gave them some 158 gr LSWC 357 and some commercial reloads 125 gr JHP for the 357 and a bunch of 158 gr 38 spec.
Looks like fun.

didn't I teach you not to point a gun at something you do not want to shoot

La fille d'regiment (daughter of the regiment)

Might as well learn to do natural point shooting. You can hit man sized targets within 10 yards (some LE agencies practice out to 15-20 yards) and it's a lot of fun. You can burn up a lot of ammo fast and have a great time. It's no substitution for aimed fire and placed shots, but it's sure a lot of fun.

Your Isoceles looks good but for the style of shooting (natural point), you want to spread your legs minimally to shoulder width apart and bend at the knees. Lean forward at the waist to put your body weight behind the gun (better control of recoil). Start with a large target a very short distance, say 3 yards. You point and shoot. Look at the point of impact. You lean forward left or right for elevation shift your weight for windage. When you can squeeze off quick successive shots in a good group, move the target back to 5 yards. Then 7. Then 10. Minimal is 2 shot groups when you shoot. May want to do this with a DA 22 revolver first just to develop trigger technique.

It's been damn near 30 years since I stepped out back and practised, and that was while visiting a relative in New Hampshire..........
Yep; you ARE fortunate for THAT.

Looks like a lotta fun.

DdysGrl, is that your 'new' SP101 in the picture? You seem to be enjoying it!

Try shooting it at long range sometime. 50 yards, maybe even 100. You may surprise yourself.

Sure is nice having a "private range", eh?
