Guys, on tuesday I got my CCW's permit. Yesterday I carried my Glock 26 all day long and after an hour I didn't even feel it in my back. Today I carried my 1911 full size for about 6 hours. What a difference!!!!!! I really don't know how people carry it every day :neener: Its so heavy and so long. It kept pulling my pants down haha.

I wish people said that about me!

I'm still waiting for mine. I feel like the kid that sent away for his secrete decoder ring and runs to the mail box every day to see if it came yet. ROFL... I know I have to wait but still nice to think it might get here sooner...

Gratz on yours!!!!!

I sent it in at the end of Feb they cashed my check march 4th and I did the Electronic finger print. I know I have some more time to put in before I get it mainly just wishful thinking.

I know how you feel. I sent the stuff in for mine on Feb. 18th and even though they said two to three months, I am still wishing it would come sooner.

I don't mind carrying a 5" 1911, though it is a bit of a pain to strap on initially so I still pocket carry my S&W 642 most of the time. Without a good, strong gunbelt I can understand why the 1911 keeps wanting to rocket with your pants to the floor. I carry a fullsize 1911 using a Beltman gunbelt and the weight just disappears after the first few mintues.

Actually, carrying a 1911 is easier for me than a lighter (but much chunkier) XD9 that I used to own.

Different folks, different strokes.

Normal meaning department store quality? That would explain it.

Try it with a belt made specifically for the gun carrying population. I guarantee you'll notice a difference.

Unless the FL process has slowed a bunch you FL folks ought to be getting yours shortly. I applied in January 2007 and got it in 21 days, using e-fingerprint.

carry a full size 1911 (even at walmart) - real gun belt is the key, being the foundation. I use a 5 stitch Wilderness - very nice

As for a secrete decoder ring, just be careful that it doesn't secrete anything yucky on your nice shirt.:neener:
