I love my full size M&P...

I don't have a full sized M&P, but the difference in thickness between my G19 and Shields make a huge difference in carry comfort.

Anyone looking at holsters for a Shield should check out PJ holsters. They are slower than Christmas, but the PJ holster has quickly become my favorite IWB holster.

It should be comforting not comfortable.

In all seriousness, I have some truncal obesity and can still carry my M&P9c with ease. I never understood how, with a good holster, people can't carry what they want. You're never gonna be able to carry a desert eagle in an OWB holster and expect it to not show a little, but most average guns can be fitted to work rather well. It just takes a good holster and appropriate dress.

I like my carry pieces to be comforting and comfortable, if they aren't both then realistically I'm not going to carry them nearly as much.

I could and have carried a double stack pistol, but for my uses, the increase in comfort I get with the shield more than offsets the downsides... so I carry the shield.

Folks can carry whatever they choose, but there is obviously enough of a market for these thin pistols to drive the development of a truckload of new designs over the last several years.

One of my buddies made this for my Shield yesterday. I am real happy with it. It has good retention, it's comfortable, nice and light, and really thin.

I have a FS M&P 9 Pro 5 inch with FO front sights.
Nice high capacity handgun.

Trigger on the pros are a step up from the standard factory trigger....supposedly.
Then I got a 40c (ordered an Apex kit for it) thinking I would want to upgrade it to get to the Pro standard. Never put it in....the trigger on the 40c is smooth and has a solid break. IMO it's as good as the PRO.

40c with factory Trijicon night sights pictured with an XGrip extension. I have a Storm Lake 9mm barrel and 9mm mags I can run in the .40 frame.

With a Viridian green laser and LED light. C5L.

I was going to do a Shield but already have a Kahr PM9 which fits the single stack sub niche in my lineup.

I departed S&W and went the Springfield XDS single stack .45 route.
It shoots 7 rounds of 230 grain very well.

XDS with my XDM

Think I'm going to put the Viridian on the XDM .45, for home defense and put the 40c back to its compact format.
