Oh...Now thats a little different. Never EVER try to join the table in the middle of a shoe.
(I think it's called shoe, it's been a while)

Well thank you guys for the support. I dropped 1500 rounds off at my Sheriffs Dept. (4-H leader works in an office upstairs there). I have called the scout leader and he is dropping by this weekend to get 1500. That leaves 2000 rounds for my wife and I to shoot, and we always bring others who want to learn to shoot. In the summer, between the scouts,4-H, and my family and friends, we could and have gone through more than a 5000 round case a month. Back then it was $150 a case or so. I keep a few thousand SK/Lapua Plus on hand for competitions, but it cost too much to plink with.

On everything but 22lr.
Wow..things are gettin better.

The other day I was at Wally at about 8 am and saw several 100rd value packs of 223 for 40$. I went back to work, then decided to cruise back through Wally after work at 3 pm to get a few boxes. Sure enough, there they sat, still untouched. That was unheard of a few months ago. No 22 though.

Plenty of .223Rem/5.56NATO FMJ here too... but at $10.47 per box of 20!! Still no .22LR to speak of... nor .22WMR nor .17HMR not much of anything. But I live in a podunk little town with only one WM.

I moved to an anti-gun state about a year ago (I was graduationg college again and needed a job before I became homeless). Since I've been here, I took a coworker and his girlfriend out shoting once. We shot about 500 rounds of .22, 30 rounds of 7.5x55 Swiss, and 100 rounds of .40SW.

The last time I checked, I had about 3,000 rounds of .22 ammo and 3,000 round of rifle/handgun ammo.

The last time I bought ammo was almost a year before the panick. In pre-panick times, I would ask if they had .22 on sale. I grabbed a box of .22 if it was under $0.05 a bullut

I think 1000 years from now they will dig graves and find mausoleums containing bodies buried with 200,000 rounds of 22 ammo like Egyptian pharohs buried with treasure to take them into the afterlife
